Revival - The discovery or the reclaiming by the saints of what it really means to be a follower of Jesus Christ. (Jude 3; Revelation 2:4, 5: Hebrews 3:14)
Involves a return to holiness of life, i.e. integrity, faithfulness, purity, humility, etc. (2 Chronicles 7:14; Hosea 10:12; Isaiah 1:16-20)
It’s all in Jesus (John 15:3-4) – Being big in Jesus and Jesus living big in us.
Emphasis on Holiness – rejecting sin and pursuing righteousness.
A burden to fulfill the Great Commission and carrying out of the commands of Jesus. (Mark 16:15, Acts 1:7, 8)
Employing every means in soul-winning: Personal witness, media, the printed page, etc.
Equipping the saints to do the work of the ministry - Providing the necessary training, i.e. Bible study, Christian education of all kinds, minister’s training, etc. (Ephesians 4:11-13)
Developing in the saints the ability to make God the source of their total supply – Acts 17:24, 25; Colossians 3:4; I Corinthians 3:21 - Standing on the Word in order to get the enemy out of their affairs and appropriating the blood-bought promises and privileges:
In bodily health (I Corinthians 6:13)
In finances (I Timothy 4:8; Mark 10:29, 30)
In obtaining promises from the Word of God, etc. (II Corinthians 1:20)
